Puppies are hard work... which is why I'm a fan of older dogs. But, getting a dog from a puppy means you'll have the cnhcae to prevent certain bad (and sometimes hard to correct)behaviors from starting. I'm not one to encourage the use of puppy pads - grass is best. But "special potty treats" are a must. :)Crate training is your friend. Also invest in a Kong that you can fill with treats and peanut (then freeze) as something he gets when your not home. It'll keep him busy and keep him from snacking on other things like furniture and shoes!
